How much does a long-distance pet taxi cost?

The price depends on your route and the vehicle category required. To choose the right category, we take the whole journey into account:

the pick-up and drop-off addresses;
the pets and the people travelling with them;
the dimensions of the crates, suitcases and bags.

02 · From pick-up to arrival

How does your pet’s journey work?

A long journey starts with careful planning. Here are the four stages of your transfer.

Plan your journey
Tell us the addresses, date, pets, accompanying passengers, crates and luggage. We agree on any specific needs and instructions for rest stops.
Meet your driver
You receive a text message when the driver sets off and another when they arrive at the meeting point. Your pet is settled into the chosen vehicle, with you or travelling unaccompanied.
Set off
Your transport is private. You can follow the driver’s progress using location tracking. Stops are planned around the route and your pet’s needs.
Arrive at your destination
Your pet is taken to the agreed address. If travelling alone, the handover is arranged with the designated recipient. A text message confirms that the transfer is complete.

Which vehicle suits your long-distance journey?

Whether you travel with your pet or entrust them to us alone, choose the right service and check the space needed for crates and luggage.

For other companion animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs or hamsters, tell us the species, number of animals, carrier dimensions and any specific needs. Requests involving birds or reptiles must be discussed before booking.

Transport without an accompanying passenger

Your dog, cat or other companion animal travels unaccompanied, in a vehicle suited to their crate. You can track the driver’s location and receive journey updates.

Check the dimensions, not just the S, L or XXL label. The crates shown are for guidance. Please provide their length × width × height, whether they will remain assembled, the number of passengers and all luggage. A photo can help us confirm the right vehicle.

Vehicle equipment for a long journey

The carrier’s size, how it is secured and the cleanliness of the transport area are all considered before departure.

A suitable crate, properly secured to keep it stable.
An appropriate restraint if your pet travels outside a crate.
A clean transport area, with surfaces cleaned and disinfected.
Ventilation, air conditioning and heating to adjust the temperature.

Your transport is private

The vehicle is reserved for your booking, with no pets or passengers from other customers. Several pets from your household can travel together.

Ventilation, air conditioning, suitable travel arrangements and gentle driving help keep your pet comfortable during the journey.

A route planned around you

Pick-up and drop-off take place at the agreed addresses. No detours are planned to collect other customers’ pets.

04 · Choosing with confidence

How do you choose a long-distance pet taxi?

Before booking a pet taxi, check how the journey will be organised and which details will be confirmed for your transfer.

Your driver’s experience

Ask about the driver’s experience and qualifications. Tell us about your pet, their habits and any specific needs. If they travel without you, destination contacts and instructions for walks are agreed before departure.

Insurance and professional liability cover

Ask us for details of the insurance applicable to the service, including professional liability cover. Clarify the scope and limits of the cover so you understand what applies to your journey and your pet.

Contract and booking conditions

Check the addresses, times, vehicle, price and included services in your quote or booking confirmation. Read the amendment and cancellation terms, and ask us to clarify anything that is unclear.

05 · Water, rest & instructions for walks

Rest stops planned around your pet’s needs

Free rest stops are planned, generally every 2 to 3 hours, depending on the route and your pet’s needs. Water is offered during stops.

For a dog travelling unaccompanied, a short walk on a lead requires prior consent from the owner or rescue organisation. Walks take place in a suitable location, such as an appropriate area at a motorway rest stop.

A rest stop does not automatically mean leaving the crate. Without permission for a walk, the dog stays in their crate during the stop. For cats and other companion animals, rest arrangements are also agreed before departure, according to the animal and their carrier.

06 · Staying informed from a distance

Follow your pet’s journey

Driver location tracking lets you follow the journey. Text messages keep you informed at key stages of the transfer, with information also sent by email.

If your pet travels without you, provide the names and phone numbers of the people handing them over at pick-up and receiving them at the destination.

Long-distance pet taxi in France and Europe

Holidays, moving home, adoption or visiting family: your journey can start in Paris, Île-de-France or another region. We also consider international journeys based on the addresses, date and available pick-up arrangements.

08 · Preparing your booking

How much does long-distance pet transport cost, and how do I book?

The price depends on the route and the vehicle required for your passengers, pets, crates and luggage. Enter the addresses, date and time in our calculator, linked near the top and bottom of this block, to check the current price before booking. If you are unsure which category to choose, send us your journey details.

Can I travel with my dog or cat?

Yes, you can accompany your pet. Depending on the vehicle, up to 6 passengers can travel, taking into account the space occupied by pets, crates and luggage. Tell us everything you are bringing so we can choose the right category.

Can my pet travel without me?

Yes. Tell us about any specific needs and instructions for walks, along with the names and phone numbers of the people handing over your pet at pick-up and receiving them at the destination. The transport is private, with driver tracking and transfer updates.

Is the vehicle shared with other customers?

No. The vehicle is reserved for your journey, with no pets or passengers from other customers. Several pets from your household can travel together, with or without you, in a vehicle suited to all occupants and luggage.

Which vehicle should I choose with a large crate and suitcases?

Tell us the number of passengers and pets, the dimensions of each crate, and the number of suitcases and bags. Specify whether the crate needs to remain assembled: it takes up more space than two halves nested together. We will help you choose a vehicle based on the full load.

Can I book a journey outside Paris or abroad?

Yes. We organise journeys between French regions and assess requests to neighbouring countries. Pick-up can take place outside Paris. For an international trip, send us the addresses, date and pet details so we can check the available arrangements.

What rest stops are planned, and can my dog go for a walk?

Free rest stops are planned, generally every 2 to 3 hours, with water offered during stops. If your dog travels alone, a short walk on a lead in a suitable place requires prior consent from the owner or rescue organisation; without this consent, the dog stays in their crate. Stops and care instructions are planned around your pet’s needs: a stop does not automatically mean leaving the carrier, particularly for cats and other companion animals.

How can I track my pet’s journey?

You can follow the driver using location tracking. Text messages notify you when the driver sets off for the meeting point, arrives, begins the journey with your pet and completes the transfer. Information is also sent by email.

How long will the journey take?

Journey time depends on the addresses, traffic and necessary rest stops. If you need to reach an airport, a train station or an appointment at a fixed time, tell us when you enquire so we can plan a suitable departure time.
